The Town of Maidstone has the following vacant positions that the Selectboard will fill by
appointment following the nomination by the Planning Commission:
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR: • Administers the Maidstone Zoning Bylaws as written. The Zoning Administrator is
responsible for reviewing, issuing, and denying permits; for assisting applicants; for
conducting enforcement actions; and for educating the public about the
requirements of town bylaws and state laws relating to land use. • According to Maidstone Zoning Bylaw ARTICLE 5: ADMINISTRATION AND
ENFORCEMENT: §501 Zoning Administrator: The Zoning Administrator shall literally
administer and strictly enforce the provisions of these bylaws, and in doing so shall
inspect development, maintain records, and perform other related tasks as is
necessary and appropriate to carry out the provisions of these bylaws.
A letter of interest explaining why you are interested and describing any relevant
experience as well as any potential conflicts of interest, both financial and non-financial,
must be received at Town Hall by 12.00pm on Monday, April 28, 2025, at either of the
